Billing
Anthracite is usage-based: you pay for what your instances actually run, metered by the hour. There is no free tier.
How usage is metered
Section titled “How usage is metered”Billing is measured in instance-hours, per engine and size. An instance
starts accruing when it becomes ready — never while it’s still provisioning —
and stops while it’s suspended. Any usage within a clock hour counts as that
hour, so occupancy is rounded up rather than prorated to the minute.
What you’ll see in the app
Section titled “What you’ll see in the app”The billing page shows your usage to date, itemized per engine and size so you can see where the cost comes from. Every dollar figure in the app is an estimate — your biller of record is the source of the final invoice.
Pricing
Section titled “Pricing”Pricing is a fixed hourly rate per (engine, size) plus storage per GB-month. The current rates are shown in the app and on the marketing site’s pricing section; they’re driven from a single source so the two never disagree.
Suspending to stop charges
Section titled “Suspending to stop charges”Suspending an instance stops its metering for as long as it stays suspended. Resuming it starts the clock again. Deleting an instance stops billing for it entirely.
